We love living in Sarasota County and being local business owners in this community for many reasons. Sarasota has so much to offer, from its pristine sandy beaches and beautiful gulf shore waters to its city sophistication infused with an eclectic and artisan culture, inspired offerings, and downright friendliness.
All of these things are represented through-out the county in its broad range of eateries, galleries, museums, gardens, theatres, concert halls, architecture, boutiques and other businesses. It is a great place to live, work and call home (or home-away-from home).
One of the best ways to get to know a city or town is to experience it and interact with the community.

Farmers’ Market at Lakewood Ranch
Make the Farmers’ Market at Lakewood Ranch your new Sunday tradition. Since 2017, Lakewood Ranch has held this wonderful market in the Lakewood Ranch Medical Center parking lot. There are over 50 curated vendors that sell a plethora of unique and local goods to the area. As you walk around you are surrounded by some of the counties best produce, breads, handmade gifts, meats, pastries, and more!
Support local farmers. Food grown locally is fresher and more nutritious, it’s also less of a burden on the environment than produce you would buy in the grocery store. Supporting local farmers helps keep money invested in the community instead of going to large corporations.
Start off the week zen by bringing your yoga mat to participate in some beginner yoga flow in the park at 10:30am hosted by The Yoga Shack Florida (temporarily postponed) or grab some prepared food from a local food truck and enjoy the live music. Check out the Market’s featured vendors and head out to support new and growing local businesses.
